Is JEE Main tough ? All about JEE Main

IS JEE MAIN TOUGH ?

Before starting anything new we try to know about it's difficulty level so that we do not fail.
so the first question which comes to mind of a newbie "Is JEE Main Tough?"
Is JEE Main tough?

ALL ABOUT JEE MAIN:-

JEE Main has two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates may opt for either or both of them. Both papers contain multiple choice questions. Paper 1 is for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses and is conducted only online. Paper-2 is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses and is conducted offline only. From January 2020 an additional Paper - 3 is being introduced for B.Planning courses separately.

JEE Main, unlike JEE Advanced, has a fixed exam structure and is not subject to change every year.  There is No individual subject minimum marks requirement in JEE Main unlike JEE Advanced. Paper-1 is of three hours duration and consists of thirty multiple-choice (single-correct) questions in each of the three subjects (physics, chemistry, and maths). 4 marks are awarded for correct answers and 1 mark is deducted for incorrect answers. A new pattern consisting of 20+5 questions per subject is introduced in January 2020.

From 2013 to 2016, the marks obtained in the class XII school board examination used to be accorded a 40% weightage in deciding the JEE Main all India ranks

From 2017, CBSE made Aadhar card mandatory for students applying for JEE. Students not having the card were asked to register for it before applying for JEE.
From 2019, JEE Main will be conducted two times in a year and it will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

Number of applicants by year

The number of applicants taking the JEE Main has varied over the years. In 2016, fewer aspirants registered as compared to the previous three years as shown in the table below.1.3 million candidates appeared for JEE Main in 2014.

Is JEE Main Tough?

Yes, JEE Main is tough not because of paper toughness but due to huge amount of aspirants who appear in JEE Main Examination.

Question in paper of JEE Main are of easy to moderate level only 5-8 questions are tough.
Most questions are tricky you don't even have to know the concepts in those questions you just have to use your common sense
Such as you can eliminate some of options and check on units such tricks help you to save time for tough question in JEE Main paper and Boosts your JEE Main score in JEE Main 2020.

75 questions are to be solved in 180 minutes
2.4 minutes per question which is quiet enough amount of time for a question.

Subject Wise Toughness In JEE Main:-

TOUGHNESS OF CHEMISTRY IN JEE MAIN :

Chemistry questions are from NCERT only , If you read and memorize the data and Concept provided in NCERT you can easily score 75+ marks in JEE Main Chemistry.

In Organic chemistry you have to Remember the reaction mechanism and Tests
Such as carbyl amine test and many more while in reaction mechanism you need to learn each and every step through which reaction proceed as question may be asked regarding Intermediate products.NCERT is not sufficient for JEE Main Organic chemistry.

In Inorganic chemistry NCERT is most if you have read NCERT in Proper way then you can solve every question in single shot and in within a minute.

Physical Chemistry requires Concept, time and Calculation which makes is tougher than organic and Inorganic. Most of the times aspirants fail to score in physical chemistry as it is tricky too. So for Physical chemistry I would Suggest
Narendra avasthi sir's book.

TOUGHNESS OF PHYSICS IN JEE MAIN:

Physics requires concept and calculation you must be able to connect 2 concepts together this way you will be able to solve most of questions.
Physics paper is moderate to tough analysing the previous year papers.

Many JEE aspirants think that physics is a very hard subject but once you start understanding it will be very easy to solve problems
But as per some survey in exam the difficulty level is only 17%
Some tips you must follow:
· I would always like to prefer that first you make a schedule and prepare accordingly and make sure that once you go through syllabus copy given by NCERT as may vary when you refer some books.
· As in physics the concepts are inter related so make sure that you go chapter wise while preparing schedule
· Refer some books where the topics are explained from starting or from basic so that those who are weak in fundamentals could easily cope up with this subject
· While studying concepts make notes of all important points and formulas so that it would be easy while problem solving
Because in physics while solving Work power energy chapter problem there may use of units and dimensions for converting units
So it would be easy if you note some points
· You can also refer some online portals like byjus or visual physics because the concepts are explained in animated form
· As these online portals are in the form of animations it gives the idea of the concepts and helps in problem solving which will be very helpful for us
Many of students understand topic but they can’t able to solve problems
· The most important is time management many candidates couldn’t attempt some questions ass there will be no time in examinations

So while practicing you should also see that how much time it is taking to answer the question so accordingly you can easily cope up with it while examination

Semiconductor ,wave optics and Communication through waves such exclusive JEE Main topics makes aspirants stand out from others.

TOUGHNESS OF MATHEMATICS IN JEE MAIN:

Maths is time consuming and tougher(most of the time) section of the JEE Main Paper. Still out of 25 questions 15 are easy and rest are tough to moderate. In maths the more you practice more accurate you get. Every year there is question from statistics which is easy but students ignore this topic.10 question are asked from 3 topics only in maths which are Conic section , Integration, Differential equation. So be sure you do practice these well to get a rank under 10k.

So after all JEE Main Is not That Tough to get through comparing by advanced.
Key point is NCERT is Holy Book for JEE Main to get a rank under 10k.

Toughness of Mathematics varies from person to person. The JEE syllabus for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced is same and comprises of topics from class 11 and class 12 as prescribed NCERTs.
For someone who is good in Mathematics would find it scoring while one other hand a student who has difficulty in mathematics would rate the syllabus tough.
One thing is sure that the JEE exams are tough as the competition involved is high and the questions (specially in JEE Advanced) check one's conceptual understanding and clearity. So, in that sense the competition and nature of questions asked is what that makes it tough.
If someone feels that JEE Mathematics is tough then its better for him to start his preparation for Mathematics first and should devote some extra time for it.
Remember each year many students clear this exam and amongst them are students who have faced difficulty in Mathematics but have overcome it with their hard work.
To conclude in Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam sir's word:
All of us do not have equal talent. But, all of us have an equal opportunity to develop our talents.

So work hard and overcome the challange. Best of luck.

JEE Main 2019 Marks| Rank | Percentile

JEE Main 2019 Marks vs Rank vs Percentile After taking the JEE Main exam, many students are curious about how their marks relate to their percentile score and rank. Let's break it down in a way that's easier for you to understand. The JEE Main exam uses a process called normalization to calculate the percentile score and rank of each student. This process takes into account factors like the difficulty level of the exam and how other students performed. The percentile score represents the percentage of students who scored equal to or lower than a particular student's score. For example, if a student gets a percentile score of 90, it means they performed better than 90% of the students who took the exam. To estimate the rank corresponding to a specific percentile, you can refer to the previous year's data provided by the National Testing Agency (NTA) or the official JEE Main website. This data gives an idea of the rank range for different percentiles. Keep in mind that t
